Who we are:

Animal Friends Alliance has been finding innovative ways to help homeless cats and dogs and the people who love them for over 15 years. We are more than an animal shelter – we’re dedicated to providing comprehensive companion animal resources, services, and education to the community to prevent pet homelessness and promote the human-animal bond. Your gift will help even more cats, dogs, and pet families!

Our limited admission shelter for cats and dogs is 100% committed to finding the best outcome for every cat and dog that comes to us, and we do our best to make sure each one goes to the right home with an adopter who is ready to make a lifelong commitment to them. If for any reason an adopter cannot keep the animal they adopted from us, we will always take them back.

We not only find homes for cats and dogs – our mission includes keeping animals out of shelters in the first place! Our public clinic offers a proactive solution to pet homelessness by helping ensure spay/neuter services are accessible for every pet family. The clinic also provides preventative health care including vaccinations, deworming, heartworm testing, feline viral testing, and microchipping.

Another key to preventing pet homelessness is providing resources to keep animals in their homes with the families who love them. For pet families facing financial hardship or who receive government assistance, we offer financial assistance for spay/neuter through the Prevent A Litter Plus (PAL+) Program, and free supplemental pet food through the Kibble Supply Pet Food Pantry.

Since our founding in 2006, Animal Friends Alliance has found homes for more than 32,000 cats and dogs, the clinic has performed over 80,000 spay/neuter surgeries, and we have distributed nearly 400,000 pounds of kibble to pet families in need.

Animal Friends Alliance is an IRS 501(C)(3) non-profit organization, tax ID# 20-4969731. We operate solely on monetary and in-kind donations, fundraising, and grants. We receive no government funding.
